- CyberTVPlayer Version 3.0 (c) by Helmut Hoffmann 1995
- =============
-
- ***********************************************************************
- * new: create your own animations for CyberGraphX and all Amigas with *
- * OS3.0 in the HHsYUVSq animation format with UniversalGIO 3.0 *
- * and Photogenics! Besides the fast universal loader module which*
- * supports more than 20 file formats, the UniversalGIO package *
- * now includes a saver GIO module for HHsYUVSq animations! *
- ***********************************************************************
-
- -> now with selactable playback-speed and loop-mode <-
-
- This is a freely distributable animation player program
- which can play HHsYUVSq sequences/animations direct from harddisk
-
- - in HighColor in Cybergraphic windows on
- a Workbench with at least 15Bit color depths
-
- - in reduced color (upto 256 colors) on any WB screen,
- including AGA, ECS, OCS and usually WB-Emu graphic board screens
- as well (e.g. EGS-Emu, Cyber-Emu, ...)
-
- A short sample sequence should be included in this archive.
- You can e.g. create your own animations in HHsYUVSq format with
- my UniversalGIO set of modules for Photogenics (requires Photogenics
- in a full version; Photogenics Lite or Demo versions are not suitable).
-
- * CyberTVPlayer shows all sequences in the HHsYUVSq-Sequence format
- direct from hard disk. The memory usage is very low this way
- (although memory is needed to hold a frame in full size as loaded
- and in converted form for CyberGfx). Random access harddisk
- sequences and sequential sequences can be shown. For more speed you
- could copy the sequence to RAM: first (if you have enough RAM).
-
- * CyberTVPlayer uses its own very high quality (21Bit) color decoding
- routines. It can also show sequences in greyscales.
-
- * CyberTVPlayer accepts a file name as argument when started from CLI
- or pops up a file requester when started from workbench or without
- CLI parameter.
-
- * CyberTVPlayer runs in a window on the Default public screen, which
- can be a CyberGfx screen with at least 15Bit color depths for HighColor
- playback or any screenmode with upto 256 colors for reduced
- colors (this will be much slower)
-
- * CyberTVPlayer supports additional CLI parameters:
- The "Loop" parameter can be used to get endless presentations of
- the animation (this is default for Workbench start).
- The "Delay" parameter can be used to specify an additional frame
- delay (in 1/50ths of a second). Without this parameter, playback
- will be as fast as possible (this is also the case for Workbench start).
- Just close the window to stop the sequence.
- Special note for use on palette oriented Workbench screens: The first
- playback pass can be much slower due to the color pen allocation;
- subsequent loop passes are usual in higher speed; on HighColor
- screens with 15Bit or more, the speed should be much higher anyway...
-
- * You can start CyberTVPlayer several times concurrently to watch
- several sequences at the same time.
-
- Sequences in a suitable format can be created with
-
- 1) Photogenics and my UniversalGIO module (at least version 3.0)
- The UniversalGIO module set now includes a saver GIO module
- which can create such sequences or append frames to sequences...
-
- UniversalGIO should e.g. be available on Aminet (gfx/edit/universalgio)
- or on the "Actual Tools and Demos" CD from ADX.
-
- 2) EGS-TV Professional (Shareware Animation, Video Editing, DeskTopVideo,
- Blue Screen Keying effect, Framegrabber and handy scanner software for
- the EGS graphic system with e.g. VLab, IV24, VideoCruncher framegrabbers
- or assembled from single pictures; see Aminet gfx/board or CDs...)
-
- The "demosequence.seq" has been created with EGS-TV Professional and a VLab
- framegrabber using the Blue Screen Keying effect.
-
- The "demosequence2.seq" has been created with Photogenics V1.2 warper tool
- and the UniversalGIO/HHsYUVSq.GIO module.
-
- All CyberGfx fans (and all other Amiga users as well) should also take a look
- at my universal viewer (incl. PhotoCD support) and slideshow program
- "CyberShow" with many useful functions and incredible fast speed... It is
- shareware (registration fee 25US$ or 30DM).
-
- Requirements
- ============
-
- Any Amiga with
-
- + OS3.0 or higher
- + some memory (about 2MByte Fast-RAM should be enough for normal use)
-
- For displaying in TrueColor/HighColor quality you also need
-
- + cybergraphics.library V40 or higher and a suitable graphic board
- (Cybergraphics is a Workbench emulation/True color software extension
- which is usable in conjunction with several graphic boards as the
- Cybervision, Piccolo, SD64, Picasso, Retina-BLTZ3, Spectrum, Domino.
- It is Copyright by Thomas Sontowski and Frank Mariak.)
-
- For creation of sequences you can e.g. use:
- 1) Photogenics (commercial painting program) and
- UniversalGIO module (Shareware) incl. HHsYUVSqSaver.GIO
- or 2) EGS-TV Professional (Shareware animation program for the EGS environment)
-
- Version history
- ===============
-
- 1.0 (19th june 95): Initial release featuring direct harddisk playback
- of color and greyscale sequences in sequential or random access format
- 2.0 (30th june 95): New reduced color output function which is available with
- OS3.0 and not only with OS3.1. This makes CyberTVPlayer usable for all
- OS3.0 users now (drawing speed is increased for standard Amiga screens
- and some WB emulation screens as well).
- 3.0 (27th sep. 95): Improved CLI parameter support; now loop mode and frame
- delay can be specified in addition to sequence file name;
- updated documentation to inform about "UniversalGIO" module and Photogenics
- as possible creation software combination for HHsYUVSq sequences.
